From artist:
Trees communicate their sense of the world through their being. Mecklenburgh Square's fig tree nestled in the North East corner makes live digital paintings from bioimpedance signals, monitored from the leaves of the tree. An echo of the garden, the relationship to surrounding trees, its interwoven connected subterranean root network layers and the shared atmosphere. This is a generative presentation of what it is like to be a tree, through the energetic fluctuations of a tree.
