From press release:

Working in collaboration with the gardeners of Mecklenburgh Square on SILENT ROAR, together we have been looking at methods of biological pest control in the garden, and experiment with the use of lion scat in the garden, as a deterrent for foxes. We are hoping to get hold of the scat from London Zoo and we will place it strategically in the garden to guide the behaviour of foxes, attempting to deter them from their homes in the vegetable patch. The culmination of this work is to invite the public to engage with other bio-based practices of pest control, by pointing to the ecological practices and aesthetics that go into the management and control of feral presence in spaces that are designed for human use.

From artist:

Silent Roar is the name of a fox deterrent made from dried lion dung. Inspired by this product, I worked with gardeners in Mecklenburgh Square in Bloomsbury to develop further tools and fictions for biological pest control.
