Clare Stent has drawn the contour of the base of one of the most monumental trees in the square, filling the nooks and crannies with photographs of sky. From a distance, the blue colour of these photographs appear as though they might be a pool of water but closer up we look down at the sky rather than up and the scale of the tree is accentuated by its contrast to the smaller images of clouds as well as the effect of being lifted off the ground by a few inches.
